hello my name is kala dreczko

I built Painted Raven Events to reflect the perseverance of all that is good in life. Love always wins, and that love deserves to be celebrated!


I didn’t grow up with champagne toasts or fairy tale moments, but today, I create them.

Painted Raven Events was born not from privilege, but from resilience.

I grew up navigating instability, learning how to organize chaos and create calm long before I ever planned a wedding. I became independent young, later a mother of four daughters, and I’ve built this business with intention, empathy, and heart every step of the way.

Before becoming a wedding planner, I spent nearly a decade working with individuals with special needs, an experience that taught me deep patience, communication, and how to care for people in meaningful ways. I later pursued formal certification through IAP Career College to bring both compassion and professionalism to the work I do.

I don’t see weddings as just events, I see them as legacy moments.

Time is sacred. The people in the room matter. And you deserve someone who understands how much this day truly means.

Rebecca

Lead Coordinator

With several years of experience in the wedding industry, Rebecca brings the knowledge, calm presence, and attention to detail needed to keep a wedding day running smoothly. She has a natural ability to anticipate what needs to happen next, communicate with vendors and couples, and step in wherever she's needed. Her artistic eye also makes her a wonderful addition to the Painted Raven team when it comes to styling and Behind-the-scenes content. Rebecca is trusted to lead wedding days with the same care and attention to detail that defines Painted Raven Events.

 

Cassie

Wedding Assistant

Cassie is the kind of person who is always one step ahead.  A mother and professional who works at a law firm during the week, she brings that same organization, preparedness, and problem-solving mindset to every wedding. She has an incredible knack for knowing what needs to happen next before anyone has to ask. And if you see Cassie with her trusty fanny pack, just know she has probably thought of something everyone else forgot. Filled with those little emergency essentials that can save the day, it's a perfect reflection of how Cassie approaches weddings: Prepared, attentive, and always ready to help.

 

Sebastian

Wedding Assistant

Sebastian brings a little muscle, a lot of heart, and an eagerness to help wherever he's needed. As one of Kala's closest friends, he's someone she knows she can count on when the day gets busy. Whether that means moving furniture, tackling a room flip, carrying the heavy stuff, or jumping in to help a guest. His strength definitely comes in handy, but his empathy is what makes him such a valuable part of the team. Sebastian is the person who will see something that needs to be done and simply step in to do it.

LILY KATH

Kala was our day of wedding coordinator on June 28, 2025 and she was the best investment by far. A year into planning we were already in contact with an online planning packet with scheduled check-ins to go over all of the details. I would say I am fairly Type A when it came to wedding planning, so to have Kala be there to make sure everything went smoothly, problem solve when needed and take away all of my stress the day of was such a gift.


Kala and her assistants set up all of our decor - some rented and some provided by us - as well as broke everything down for us to pick up the following morning. This alone made it worth every penny. I wasn’t afraid to ask her for any help the day of, including poking holes in the straps of my shoes because they were too loose or to hide our wedding bands under a ceremony seat for a surprise guest ring bearer moment.


Throughout the day, she was there for whatever we needed. When we had issues with our DJ, Kala provided amazing support and allowed me to work through my frustrations and let me know everything would be okay. In the end, we had a wonderful night and couldn’t have done it without her and the rest of her team. She is attentive, communicative and excellent at critical thinking. Above all, she is empathetic and kind. We will definitely work with her again if we have any other plans for coordinated events!

Velvet Restaurant

Kala styled a photo shoot for us this weekend, and it was wonderful. She did everything, hired photographers, hired hair and makeup stylists, obtained flowers and wedding gowns, had a detailed agenda and had planned out every vignette including tablescapes, candles, place settings. All I can say is that I was very impressed, and the photos I took with my phone were divine. I can't wait to see all the photos.

I am so hopeful that we will continue to work together to make special days the best they can be.
